We come with another simple recipe today, that will take just 10 minutes to prepare. Marrying sparkling water with a flavoured matcha, we created a yummy, bubbling tea beverage!
- 2 heaped teaspoons of matcha (for added oomph, we used Pinetree Pantry’s Matcha Vanilla blend)
- 1 cup of sparkling water (we used Perrier, but any brand will work!)
- 1/4 cups of sugar
- 1/2 cup of water
First, make a simple syrup. Put the sugar and water into a saucepan and bring to boil. Reduce heat to low, and simmer for about 5 minutes until it’s thickened. If you prefer your tea less sweetened, this beverage will work without the syrup too!
Let the syrup cool, and stir in Matcha powder and let it cool completely.
Fill two cups with ice, and fill with sparkling water. Fill each cup with equal portions of the matcha syrup.
Finally, stir and enjoy!
